The Night Arrest & March to the Royal Camp
In the dead of night, the thundering hooves of royal cavalry echoed through the weaver quarter of Varanasi. Torches blazing and swords drawn, Sultan Sikandar Lodi's guards surrounded Neeru's modest mud cottage.

Seeing armored soldiers storming their courtyard, mother Neema and father Neeru trembled in terror, weeping in anguish for their child.

Mother, Father, weep not. The Supreme Creator who breathed life into this body walks beside us in every trial.

The soldiers bound fourteen-year-old Kabir's wrists in heavy iron chains. Yet his countenance radiated unshakeable peace and a serene smile.

Escorted by armed cavalry under the moonlit sky, Kabir was marched toward the royal encampment of the Delhi Sultan.
Standing Upright Before the Sultan
Sultan Sikandar Lodi's court was adorned with lavish silk pavilions, Persian carpets, and elite guards with unsheathed scimitars. A tense, suffocating silence gripped the hall.

Upon the golden throne, Sultan Sikandar Lodi writhed in torment. An incurable, searing burning disease consumed his flesh, driving him into constant agony.

Kabir was brought before the throne in chains. From the shadows, the conspiring Pandits, Qazis, and royal cleric Sheikh Taqi watched with sinister anticipation.

Bow down in submission, weaver! Bow your head before the Emperor of Hindustan, Sultan Sikandar Lodi!

My head bows only at the lotus feet of the Supreme Lord of the Universe, who molded king and beggar alike from the exact same clay! Kabir bows to no mortal emperor!
The Sultan
Insolent wretch! You dare defy my royal throne?! Do you not know that your life and death hang upon a single word from my lips?!

O Sultan! Life and death belong only to the Almighty. One who cannot even extinguish the burning fire in his own flesh—how can he claim mastery over another's soul?!

Jahanpanah! This insolent heretic insults the crown! Hand him over to the executioner this very moment!

At that very instant, a violent spasm of the burning disease seized the Sultan! Groaning in agony, Sikandar Lodi collapsed upon his throne as his body burned like glowing coals.
The Miracle Cure & Extinguishing the Fire
Chaos erupted across the court. Royal physicians rushed forward with cooling unguents in vain; the searing fever only intensified, and the monarch began to faint in agony.

Filled with boundless compassion, fourteen-year-old Kabir stepped forward, scooping a few drops of water from a simple earthen bowl into his palm.

Kabir sprinkled the water toward the suffering Sultan, casting his gaze of supreme grace. A radiant golden-white wave of soothing celestial energy enveloped the entire pavilion!

The instant the drops touched him, a wondrous miracle unfolded! The searing fire, rashes, and burning agony vanished in a flash! The Sultan's skin became completely cool, fresh, and restored like morning dew!

The Sultan touched his chest and face with his hands in disbelief. The excruciating torment of years had dissolved completely, leaving him entirely whole and free of pain.
The Sultan Bows & The Genesis of the 52 Kasnis
Stepping down from his golden throne, Sultan Sikandar Lodi stood before young Kabir, bowing his head with folded hands in immense gratitude.

O Master of God! You have saved my life! Whatever royal treasure, gold, or half of my empire you ask for, I am ready to lay at your feet!

O Sultan! I desire neither your gold nor your empire. If you wish to offer anything, rule with compassion over your subjects, stop slaughtering innocent beings, and recognize the Divine in every living heart!

Royal Pir Sheikh Taqi's face contorted in venomous jealousy. Seeing the Sultan bow before the weaver boy, he felt his religious monopoly slipping away.

Sultan! Do not be deceived—this is merely sorcery! If you leave him untested, his followers will overthrow your throne! We must subject this weaver to severe, deadly trials (*Kasnis*)!

Goaded by Sheikh Taqi, the royal court orchestrated the legendary **52 Kasnis (52 lethal persecution trials)** against Sant Kabir! In the arena, the ferocious royal mad elephant (*Madankar Hathi*) was brought forth!
